Causism
Causism is a new body of knowledge, a new philosophy of life. Its name is derived from two words.

• Cause; to create an effect; to make things happen.
• Ism; a doctrine, system or principle.
  

The name shuns the elitism of Greek and Latin roots and is coined from Anglo-Saxon words more commonly understood. Causism is very much a practical philosophy, for in addition to its revolutionary theories and principles, it embodies an equally revolutionary practical component called the Mace Method.

Human Energy Unit
We are energy, units of Human Energy, hence the coined expression, Human Energy Unit that is used instead of the more religiously aligned expression Spiritual Being. This is in keeping with the scientific and non–religious nature of Causism.

Causism is a scientific examination of life. Its fundamental principles and laws are to be found in its close cousins, those other forms of energy, magnetism and electricity. We are energy and as science will tell you, energy in any form is indestructible. Therefore we, not our bodies, are immortal, timeless, sentient and aware energy units, using and activating our bodies.

Universes & the Energy Universe
As science will verify, you cannot destroy energy, but as we all know from observation, you can destroy material objects. It is logical therefore to put each in a different class. In keeping with this classification, Causism refers to two universes, the Energy Universe and the Material (physical) Universe. We, as energy units are logically included in the energy universe.

I have yet to see this differentiation anywhere else so it is fair to say that it is a coined expression peculiar to Causism.

Logics is a system of rational thought developed by Aristotle the Greek philosopher of about 350 BC, hence the term logical thinking. He devised what he called Syllogisms, where two known or accepted truths called Premises are used to establish a third truth. Here is an often–used example.

• Premise 1: All people are mortal.
• Premise 2: He is a person.
• Conclusion: He is mortal.

Here is another syllogism:

• Premise 1: All spiritual beings are immortal.
• Premise 2: Tom is a being.
• Conclusion: Tom is immortal!

The very logical thinking expounded by Aristotle tells us there is something wrong with this conclusion, because we know that Tom is not immortal; he will eventually die. It is not Aristotelian logic that is wrong, what is wrong is the second premise, for ‘Tom’ is a composite of an energy unit and a body. As described fully in the book he is a person, an energy unit plus body. Energy units are of the energy universe and the body is of the physical or material universe and what has happened is that the physical universe is being confused with the energy universe, where a different set of laws prevail. In other words material universe logics (Aristotelian) are different to energy universe logics.

It is interesting that the deeper quantum physics researches, the closer they are getting to the basis of the entire universe, energy, which is why recent research in quantum physics has started to raise doubts about some of the accepted ideas of Newton and even Einstein. Quantum physics research, getting ever nearer to basics, is encroaching or drifting more into the energy universe, away from the logics of the material universe where the logics of Newton and Einstein are more germane. The difference in the logics of the physical universe compared to the logics of the energy universe is very important. The Mace Method, in addressing beings (Human Energy Units) and not bodies, utilises the logics of the energy universe and not the logics of the material universe.

The Identity, the Fourth Dimension—the Missing Link

Identities
The Mace Method has absolutely nothing to do with religion, but having said that it is generally accepted that we are composed of three elements; mind, body & spirit. That concept is perfectly true as far as it goes, but what the Causism research has uncovered is that there is a fourth element that has been named an Identity. These identities are of two types; knowingly created pro–survival identities and unknowingly created non–survival identities. The former are known as Positive Identities and the second, Negative Identities. They are fully explained in the book.

All forms of energy are invisible and both gravity and magnetism are examples of this fact. Importantly, the existence of energy is only detected by the effects created. All identities are energy and therefore invisible, which explains why they have never been detected before, although they have affected mankind ‘Since Adam was a boy!’ This colloquialism may sound an exaggeration but it is not, for they have always been with us and always will be with us. Every aspect of a person’s personality, good, bad or indifferent stems from these negative identities. Causism research has not only isolated them, but also produced a method to permanently eliminate them. An astounding claim you say, well have a look at the testimonials!

As the diagram indicates, the Spirit (Human Energy Unit) stands supreme, but the other three components are of equal importance and each is indispensable in the game of life.

It is a lack of awareness and understanding of this fourth element in all forms of counselling, including psychology, which has limited their effectiveness, for they are based on a false premise and if you commence with a false premise, a missing element, you cannot possibly arrive at a correct answer. However, it is not only psychology and counselling, but also the whole civilised world that is poorer for the hitherto lack of this knowledge.

Departure from Conventional Therapy
On the back of the book that is featured on the main page is this statement: “In a total departure from conventional counselling…” That statement is decidedly true, but why is it true?

There are several reasons for that departure and a fundamental one is that the Mace Method handles cause and not effect. The cause of all emotional problems are negative identities, which we eliminate without spending any time in discussing their effects, as is done in conventional counselling. All the talking about the effects is not going to take away their cause! I do not know of one modality in the so called mental health field that handles more than effects and this is why the Mace Method ushers in a completely new paradigm in resolving mental health.

The expression mental health is emphasised in italics because the Causism research indicates that the name is a complete misnomer. That is also explained in the book. Each person is a composite, the inherently positive/good energy unit (the real you), plus all accumulated identities. Unfortunately, not knowing the existence of these identities, people erroneously think for example that they are not good enough! That they are a failure! That they are powerless! That they are inadequate! That they are unlovable! Incidentally, these self–derogatory attitudes are not figments of my imagination, for they and numerous others are common and appear in many case histories. Case histories have also featured people who totally eliminated being chronically sad, angry, lonely and fearful, along with every other negative feeling you care to name and all are the product of negative identities.

The Mace Method
The Mace Method owes its effectiveness to its ability to separate the client from his unwanted identities and then dis–create them. The more negative identities that are dis–created, the more there is of the real you, the happier you become and the more affective you are in life.
